Smelting Plant

The Smelting Plant situated in Redcliff Unit 1 is the state of art technology for producing Hot Metal.The feedstock raw metal is converted into liquid steel at the plant.This liquid steel is refined and oxidized to obtain correct properties wherein in house manufactured Oxygen is used for lancing and oxidising the liquid steel.This liquid steel is further poured in the Ingot Moulds which are again manufactured in house,thereafter the final feedstock and "Ingots" are produced ready to use at Rolling Mills.These Ingots are pre-heated and are used as inputs for the Rolling Mills to manufacture the final products.
