Mr. Johnson joined Steelmakers as General Manager in 1996, overseeing the inception of Steelmakers Zimbabwe. He was appointed Group General Manager in charge of projects in Southern Africa in 2001. Johnson oversees business development projects in Zimbabwe and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Johnson worked for various steel plants in India and Kenya bringing in a wealth of technical expertise and management in the manufacture of steel. He is the past President of the Midlands Chamber of the Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries.

He joined Steelmakers Kenya in 1992 as General Manager before being transferred to Steelmakers Zimbabwe in same capacity. He has widespread experience in handling steel, Refractories and Allied Industries.
